Hosts, Ann and Bob Beveridge, will make sure that you enjoy your stay in their home.

Back in 1958, U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William O. Douglas discovered Glenwood and Mount Adams country. He created for himself a retreat, a hide-away, and for many years spent his leisure time here in this house, which is now Ann's Place, a Bed and Breakfast.

  Ann and Bob offer two charming rooms to their guests. We feature a full country breakfast, complementary with your room.

The Mountain Room - $90
A cozy room featuring a queen size bed, and a trundle bed that opens to a double size bed, ideal if you bring your children. This room has its own private door to the pool.

The Creek Room - $80
With twin beds and a cozy atmosphere. Each guest room has its own full bath and there are cribs available for the very small guests.

Amenities/Policies

You will wake up each morning to a just cooked hearty farm breakfast, which may include Ann's special Baked French Toast, her great biscuits and home-made jams, or any of the other delicious home cooked fare, as well as freshly ground coffee, plus teas and fruit juices.

Since William O. Douglas's time, the house has been enlarged, a swimming pool has been added and Ann and Bob have added their warmth and hospitality...now they want to share all this with you.

  • Check in from 2:00 PM/Check out at 11:00 AM (Please call if check in will be after 6:00 pm)
  • Rates are subject to change without notice
  • Rates are based on double occupancy; for each additional person in the room, add $15 per day.
  • Quiet, adult-supervised children are welcome
  • Babies and children up to 2 years old stay free.
  • Rates do not include WA state tax
  • Reservations are guaranteed with the pre-payment of one night's lodging.
  • Cancellations require 7 days notice for refund.
  • We accept personal check, traveller's checks or cash only.

    Take a picnic lunch (Ann will pack your favorites) or just relax by the pool with a good book.

    At our doorstep - Mt. Adams...This majestic mountain stands over the valley as though on guard. At 12,276 feet high and a non-active volcano, Mt. Adams is one of America's favorite mountains to climb and explore. Or you may have the urge to raft two Wild & Scenic Rivers - the White Salmon and the Klickitat. Just a short drive away there is white-water rafting, organized by experienced guides for thrills of a lifetime.

    From mid-July to early October, Bird Creek Meadows is open, a special place to see high prairies, creeks, waterfalls, alpine vegetation and spectacular views. There are easy walking paths for your hiking pleasure, laid down by the Yakima Indian Nation and Washington State.

      Driving Directions to Ann's Place

    From Portland:
    Take 1-84 east and travel approximately 64 miles from Portland to Hood River. Take exit 64, go north (left) under the freeway and cross the Columbia River toll bridge.
    Turn east (right) on Highway 14 from the bridge and travel to Bingen.
    Turn north (left) onto 141 to Trout Lake.
    Continue on this road through White Salmon and Husum to BZ Corner.
    Turn east (right) onto BZ-Glenwood road and follow it to Glenwood.

    Alternately, you can continue on 141 up to Trout Lake, and take the Trout Lake-Glenwood Drive through the town and turn left on Mt. Adams Highway. Drive approximately 2 miles north, and look for our sign on the right.
